The story of a little girl who captured hearts throughout the community — as told by her father — has been published and is available now.
“Pigtails & Steel,” by Andy McCall is available in paperback from Amazon.com. McCall will also offer signed copies of the book Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Catalyst Coffee Co., at the corner of Main and West Depot streets.
It sells for $15.
The book chronicles McCall’s experiences during and after the life of his daughter, Penelope. “Sweet P” died June 9, 2016, just a month and two days shy of her second birthday, after a battle with Stage 4 Medulloepithelioma, an aggressive brain and spinal cancer, Polymicrogyria, Aicardi Syndrome and infantile spasms.
