MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man is facing multiple charges after police said they found a lunch box with his last name on it filled with marijuana.
Zakarryyaa Chism is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they ran the tag number several times on Chism’s vehicle, which had Indiana plates while he was driving west on Summer at Tillman Tuesday.
Officers said the tag never came back on file, and Chism made an abrupt turn south onto Lester.
An officer did a U-turn and saw Chism had turned around to continue west down Summer. Chism was stopped at Summer and Lester.
Police said Chism immedietely put his hands in the air and asked, “What’s wrong officer?”
In the report, the office said he smelled marijuana and asked Chism if there were any drugs in the car.
Chism told them he did not know, because he had just bought the vehicle, it wasn’t registered,
