MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Tyler O’Neill hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to give the Memphis Redbirds a 2-1 win over the Nashville Sounds on Monday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Redbirds and a four-game winning streak for the Sounds.
In the bottom of the second, Memphis took the lead on a solo home run by O’Neill. Nashville answered in the fourth inning when Anthony Garcia hit a solo home run.
O’Neill hit a pair of solo homers in the win.
Memphis right-hander Dakota Hudson (4-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on just three hits over five innings. Opposing starter Frankie Montas (1-4) took the tough loss in the Pacific Coast League game after allowing two runs and six hits over eight innings. Preston Guilmet pitched two scoreless innings for his seventh save of the season.

Despite the loss, Nashville is 5-2 against Memphis this season.
