CHAMPLAIN — A West Chazy man was charged with two felonies in as many days.
Richard M. Perales, 39, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Thursday by Chazy-based State Police and charged with first-degree criminal contempt.
Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies had arrested him just five days earlier on the same charge for allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection.
He was also sentenced in August 2017 to nine months in jai and five years of probation after pleading guilty to third-degree burglary, a felony, and two counts of second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor.
He was sentenced again in November 2017 to three months in jail and five years of probation after pleading guilty to third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal contempt.
LISBON — A Hogansburg woman had more than a pound of cannabis, police say.
Patricia A. Ransom, 72, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
The incident that led to her arrest was reported around 11:55 a.m. that day.
